Civic Cello Club

Calling all high school and adult cellists! The Traverse City Philharmonic Civic Program is offering a 4-week Cello Club in July 2025. This is a unique opportunity to play cello ensemble repertoire in an all-cello orchestra with mellow cello fellows from your community. Participants should be in 9th grade or older, possess solid technical and music-reading skills and have studied a minimum of 3+ years.
Rehearsals are 5:45 - 6:45 pm on Tuesdays July 8, 15, 22 & 29 at the Traverse City Philharmonic Center.
The concert will by Monday, August 4 at 7:00 pm at the Civic Center Stage.
Prelude Chamber Music - Fall Term

September 23 – December 4 | Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm
This program is for individuals who would like to play in a small ensemble, working on chamber music performing techniques and repertoire. Rehearsals focus on the concept of playing together in a different texture and sound, with one or two players on a part depending on the ensemble: duos, trios, quartets and larger groups. Prelude Chamber Music rehearses from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
