Civic Cello Club - Summer 2026

Calling all high school and adult cellists! The Traverse City Philharmonic Civic Program is offering a 4-week Cello Club in July 2026. This is a unique opportunity to play cello ensemble repertoire in an all-cello orchestra with mellow cello fellows from your community. Participants should be in 9th grade or older, possess solid technical and music-reading skills and have studied a minimum of 3+ years.
Rehearsals are 5:45 - 6:45 pm on Tuesdays July 7, 14, 21 & 26 at the Traverse City Philharmonic Center.
The concert will by Monday, August 3 at 6:00 pm at the Civic Center Stage.

Fall Dates: September 22nd–November 24th 2026 | Tuesdays, 5:45-6:45 pm No Chamber Music on October 6th
Concert: Thursday, December 3rd, 2026, 6:00 pm at TC Philharmonic Center
Winter Dates: January 12th-March 9th 2027 | Tuesdays, 5:45-6:45 pm No Chamber Music on January 26th
Concert: Thursday, March 18th 2026, 7:00 pm at TC Philharmoinc Center
This program is for individuals who would like to play in a small ensemble, working on chamber music performing techniques and repertoire. Rehearsals focus on the concept of playing together in a different texture and sound, with one or two players on a part depending on the ensemble: duos, trios, quartets and larger groups. Sinfonia Chamber Music rehearses from 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm.
